His lack of integrity makes him clearly unfit for the gavel.” The impeachment filing focuses on Boasberg’s approval of secret subpoenas for cell phone records, including those of at least ten Republican senators and House members. The judge also signed “frivolous nondisclosure orders,” preventing lawmakers from being informed they were under surveillance.
The investigation allegedly involved over 160 Republicans and more than 100 conservative groups, with organizations like Turning Point USA reportedly monitored for their political views. Gill framed the actions as a violation of separation of powers, calling the judiciary’s role a “judicial hit job enabling the DOJ’s political vendetta.”
