Ex-FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino Exposes Deep State’s Moral Collapse in Trump Investigation

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has revealed shocking insights into the Trump-Russia investigation after leaving the Bureau.

Bongino recounted on “The Vince Show” Monday that reading classified documents in July 2025 left him “shocked to his core.” The materials, related to the Crossfire Hurricane probe—a term for the Russia collusion scandal—prompted him to describe a “moral collapse” within federal law enforcement.

“I was just reading some stuff about Crossfire,” Bongino said. “I thought, gosh, these guardrails just broke down because of people. People are guardrails, not robots … I was stunned at how many people let this happen—just the incredibly poor decision-making. It blew my mind.”

As a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent who served as FBI Deputy Director, Bongino described the investigation into President Trump as “a politically motivated fraud.” He emphasized that the Russia hoax was never an “intelligence failure,” but rather a moral collapse driven by officials who prioritized personal politics over law and truth.

The revelation comes amid concerns about the same individuals who orchestrated the scandal remaining influential in government. Bongino warned that with President Trump back in office, the threat of entrenched corruption continues to endanger American democracy.

“The ultimate guardrails of this Republic have always been informed and vigilant citizens,” he added. “Now, with the truth laid bare, our duty is to stand firm and hold them all accountable.”
