Mar-a-Lago Shooter Dies After Armed Breach of Secure Perimeter

According to authorities, a male in his early 20s was shot by U.S. Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy on February 22 around 1:30 a.m. following an unauthorized entry into the secure Mar-a-Lago property. The individual, whose identity is pending notification of next of kin, died after being pronounced deceased at the scene.

The person was observed by the north gate carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can. This incident follows similar acts including Ryan Routh’s arrest in September 2024 near the President’s golf course and Thomas Matthew Crooks’ attack on a campaign rally in July 2024 that injured the President and killed a supporter, as well as the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Authorities state all individuals involved are under investigation for their motives.
