U.S. Attorney General Fires Six Minnesota Prosecutors for Refusing ICE Support

Attorney General Pam Bondi has terminated the positions of six Minnesota prosecutors who refused to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers after an incident involving alleged violence against a federal agent.

The prosecutors reportedly objected to investigating the circumstances surrounding Renee Good, described by officials as a “known leftist agitator” and “trained anti-ICE warrior.” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that Good spent the day “stalking and impeding” ICE agents before allegedly using her vehicle to attempt running over an officer. The agent responded with self-defense.

The six prosecutors claimed they wished to resign but demanded taxpayer-funded vacation time by utilizing their annual leave until April, as part of a protest against law enforcement support. Attorney General Bondi rejected this request and fired all six individuals for abandoning their duties. One of the prosecutors, Joseph Thompson, was reported to have posed for a media photoshoot while ICE agents were on duty during the incident.

The Department of Justice emphasized that the prosecutors’ actions violated federal obligations and constituted insubordination.
